We will be picked up at your hotel in Agra at 3:00 pm and proceed to the Agra Fort Army Gate. Your tour will begin at the historic rail station constructed during the British Raj after Railway Station visit the Jama Masjid (Shahi Jama Masjid was built by Princess Jahanjara Begum) The favorite daughter of Emperor Shahjahan in 1648 AD. She stayed unmarried and used the money set aside for dowry to build this mosque. The main gate of the mosque was demolished in 1858 AD.
Here, amongst the hustle-bustle of narrow streets and historic buildings, you will pass through Vaidya Ramdutta Gali which is an old lane dedicated to the memory of a traditional medicine practitioner. Vaidya Ramdutta was an Ayurvedic Doctor. Ayurveda is the combination of two words ‘Ayur’ means ‘age’ & ‘Veda’ means ‘to increase’, so Ayurveda tells how to increase your age with the natural herbal remedies.
After that visit Chimman Lal Poori Wala, a 185-year old local sweet shop. Then the tour explores a local wholesale market where the guide explains the various wares on sale on how Indian markets are so much different from organized retail in most western countries.
Your tour will also take you through Chidiyawala Temple, Patal Hanuman Temple, the Mughal Police station and the famous Kinari Bazaar (jeweler's market). With the end of the walking tour, the 'real' fun begins.
Mankameshwar Temple & Spice Market - Mankameshwar Mandir, this is one of the most ancient temples devoted to Lord Shiva. It is said that Shivlinga is covered by Silver metal and was founded by Lord Shiva. Next, your tour will take you to the Rawatpara Spice market. India is most famous for its spices and this entire street is full of a blended aroma of the many spices on offer and passing through this street.
