UUpon arrival to Lisbon Airport you will be welcomed by our driver and then transfer to your hotel. Check-in and rest of the day free to explore Lisbon, the Portuguese capital. Overnight in Lisbon.

LISBON (Half Day regular city tour)

Buffet Breakfast. Today you will enjoy a half day city tour to Lisbon (4 hours approx) including the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos, Torre de Belém, Padrão dos Descobrimentos, Coach Museum, Rossio and Alfama. Then you will have free time to discover this beautiful city with its heritage monuments, and characteristic neighborhoods where it first developed and can still be experienced at its most genuine level. Overnight in Lisbon.


Buffet Breakfast Pick up from your hotel. Travelling through a wonderful landscape rich in windmills and fruit trees you arrive to Obidos, surrounded by medieval walls. Continue to visit Alcobaça with the first and largest gothic church in Portugal with the tombs of D. Pedro and of Ines de Castro, known by their love story. Continue to Nazaré, a typical fishing village and seaside resort, with traditions and legends. We continue to Batalha to visit the Monastery of Santa Maria de Victoria, where we can find the tomb of Henry the Navigator. Proceed to Fatima, the famous Marian Christian Shrine. Possibility to attend the Candle procession. Overnight in Fatima.


Buffet Breakfast Departure to Coimbra to visit its famous University, one of the oldest in Europe, with a magnificent baroque library. Stop at St Clara Church where you can discover the tomb of Queen Isabel, the protagonist of the “miracle of the roses”. At the city center you can admire the exclusive ceramics of Coimbra. In the afternoon we continue to Aveiro, city of the canals, known as the “Portuguese Venice”, where you shall have time to see the graceful boats “moliceiros” and taste the local sweets, “ovos moles”. Buffet Breakfast Porto, the second city of Portugal and a UNESCO world heritage city, is a living amphitheatre inviting us to a morning visit to discover the riverside area, the old houses, its palaces and churches. Continue to the Minho, that offers natural green scenery and the sparkling “green wine”. Start at Guimarães, the cradle of the nation, birthplace of the first king of Portugal. Visit the Sacred Hill, crowned by the Castle, as well as, the Palace of the Dukes of Bra-gança, which original building dates back to the 15th centuries. Drive to Braga, known as the “Portuguese Rome” for its concentration of religious architecture, as the oldest Cathedral of the country, and the Bom Jesus do Monte Sanctuary with famous baroque stairway and gardens. Overnight in Braga.


Buffet Breakfast Proceed to Santiago de Compostela, the capital of Galicia (Spain) and the centre of pilgrimage at the end of the Santiago Way. In 1985, UNESCO declared Santiago de Compostela World Cultural Heritage and you have the entire day to freely discover this fascinating city. Wander around its historical streets and learn about its most extraordinary monuments before sam-pling some of the traditional local dishes. Overnight in Porto.


Buffet Breakfast Departure to Amarante, a nice town very proud of São Gonçalo known for the promotion of love and marriage where the monastery facing the river houses his tomb. You can also visit its lively bustling market. Later, drive to Vila Real to visit the gardens of the splendid “Palacio de Mateus” manor house. Then we enter the Porto wine region, travelling through the vineyards and the breath-taking landscapes of the Douro Valley. Stop at Lamego, overlooked by one of Portugal’s most important shrines Nossa Senhora do Remedio, with its magnificent baroque style staircase. Continue through the mountainous hinterland to Viseu, center of the Dão Vineyards. In the shadow of the Cathedral, narrow streets and doorways with coats of arms make up the ancient Viseu. Overnight in Urgeiriça.


Buffet Breakfast Drive through the heart of Portugal till Bussaco which is well known for its luxuriant forest, made up of a selection of rare trees and plants of exotic beauty, where you can find a charming and romantic hotel, a former royal hunting lodge. Continue to Tomar and visit the remarkable Convent of Christ, inside the castle which is the centerpiece of the city and classified as a World Heritage site by UNESCO. Overnight in Lisbon.


Buffet Breakfast Departure towards Sintra. Visit the palace of da Pena, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, later walk around the charming village of Sintra. Continue to Cabo da Roca and enjoy the amazing views from the westernmost point of Europe. Along the coast you will pass by one of the most famous surfing beaches, the cosmopolitan Cascais and the gardens of Estoril Casino. Overnight in Lisbon.

LISBON – EVORA (140 km)

BBuffet Breakfast Today you will discover the famous small city of Evora, a mosaic of cultures, history and traditions. Leaving Lisbon, you cross the bridge over the river Tejo, passing through beautiful and bucolic landscape of olive trees, cork oak trees and vineyards till you arrive to Evora, a UNESCO World Heritage. Along the narrow streets of the whitewashed old center of Evora you can step back in time while visiting some of its most important monu-ments: the Roman Temple, the Romanesque-gothic Cathedral, Saint Francis Church whit the “Bones Chapel“, and the University. In the after-noon you will have free time to discover Evora. Overnight in Évora.

EVORA – BEJA – SILVES – LAGOS (Algarve Region) (250 km)

Buffet Breakfast You will enjoy part of the morning at leisure in Evora. Drive to the South till you arrive to Beja, where you will discover the highest tower of Portuguese Medieval castles dominating the town and the region. After crossing small mountains, you enter the Algarve Re-gion, passing through orange trees fields till Silves, a town dominated by its red sandstone castle dating back mainly to Arab times and by the memory of its former cork industry. Continue to the golden sands of the Algarve passing by Praia da Rocha to Lagos. Overnight in Lagos.


Buffet Breakfast Stop at Ponta da Piedade to admire a magnificent view over the Atlantic Ocean and the cliffs whose shapes have been sculpted by the erosive action of the sea. Continue to Sagres, a fishing port, for a visit to the fortress which was the mythical “navigation scho-ol” linked to the presence of Prince Henry the Navigator during the first days of Atlantic navigation and the discovery of the African coast. Conti-nue along the cliffs to the Cabo São Vicente, the most southwestern point in Europe. The city of Lagos, is a cosmopolitan town with a marina and a fishing port. Afternoon at Leisure. Overnight in Lagos.


Buffet Breakfast Have a last look at the sea while traveling along the coast, to say goodbye to the Algarve. The return trip to Lisbon will take you to Setubal and through the scenic route along the Arrabida Moun-tain Range. You can also enjoy the sweeping views of the Troia Peninsu-la. Crossing the bridge over the Tejo River, you arrive to Lisbon and then drop off at your hotel. Overnight in Lagos.

You will have enough time to discover wonderful Portugal and Santiago de Compostela (Spain). You will visit the walled town of Obidos, Sanctuary of Fatima and the town of Guimarães, the birthplace of Afonso Henriques, the first independent king of Portugal. You will also visit the imposing Batalha Monastery and Coimbra’s famous University. In Porto, the northern capital, you will visit the “Palacio da Bolsa” and St. Francisco Church. In Vila Real, you will love the English Gardens of Mateus Palace, in Tomar, the Convent do Cristo and in Sintra, the Palacio da Pena. Then in Evora you will enjoy, the Bons Chapel and São Francisco Church; and in Sagres (Algarve), the fine São Vicente Fortress.
